Travelling From Devonport airport:
When you reach a T intersection at the Airport entrance, turn right.
You will approach a large roundabout in about 1 km. Turn left onto Port Sorell Road.
Follow this road as it meanders past some beautiful farmland. You will pass through Wesley Vale. Continue on the main road.
When you reach a 80 km/h sign near Appleby Road you have about 2 km to go.
You will pass a sign welcoming you to Port Sorell. Take the next turn to the right.
Tranquilles is on the corner of Gumbowie Drive and the Port Sorell Road.

Travelling From Spirit of Tasmania
Once you have cleared the dock area travel due east away from the river until you reach Tarelton Street.
Turn left into Tarelton Street. Continue over the hill. Turn right into Brooke Street.
Continue along Brooke Street until you reach a large roundabout. Continue straight ahead through the roundabout onto Port Sorell Road. Follow this road as it meanders past some beautiful farmland.
You will pass through Wesley Vale. Continue on the main road.
When you reach a 80 km/h sign near Appleby Road you have about 2 km to go.
You will pass a sign welcoming you to Port Sorell. Take the next turn to the right.
Tranquilles is on the corner of Gumbowie Drive and the Port Sorell Road.

Travelling From Launceston airport
When you reach a T intersection at the Airport entrance, turn right. You will drive along the main road to Launceston.
When you reach a large roundabout, continue on the Midland Highway towards Launceston.
After about 7 km, you will see an exit onto the Bass Highway with signs to Devonport and Burnie.
Veer left onto the Bass Highway.
Continue along the Bass Highway for some 87 km until you approach Latrobe. When you reach the large roundabout at Latrobe, veer right into Moriarty Road
Continue along Moriarty Road for about 3 km until you reach an intersection to the left to Wesley Vale. Take this turn left (it is a tight turn).
Follow this road to Wesley Vale. As you approach Wesley Vale, you will come to a T intersection.
Turn right and follow the sign to Port Sorell.
When you reach a 80 km/h sign near Appleby Road you have about 2 km to go.
You will pass a sign welcoming you to Port Sorell. Take the next turn to the right.

The Name "Tranquilles"

The name "Tranquilles" came after much searching and discussion.
As you will have seen from the photographs, the property has a strong French provincial flavour, and we decided that the French theme should be carried over to the name of our new venture.
The French word "tranquille" has a range on meanings which portray what we believe that we are offering to our guests:
a quiet and tranquil time, the opportunity to sleep easily in a comfortable bed, a period free from worries and emotional agitation and a sense of quiet confidence.
